Can I book massages or spa treatments in advance?
For scheduling reasons, massages and spa treatments are best arranged with the concierge upon arrival.
How can I do something for the local community?
Your stay automatically supports hand selected local charities and non-governmental organizations as a 5% Belize community fund fee is added to your daily room rate. More details on the deserving charities we partner with and donate all net fee funds to annually can be found here.
If you would like to do more during your time in Belize, you may bring items for Pack for a Purpose and/or arrange a hands-on work while staying with us by contacting our concierge department.
Can we have our wedding at Blancaneaux Lodge?
We no longer host weddings at our hideaways. Feel free to contact our staff for recommendations on alternate locations nearby.
Which airlines serve Belize?
American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta, United Airlines, US Airways, Avianca (formerly known as TACA), and Southwest Airlines all fly into Belize. Additionally, Belizean carrier Tropic Air serves Belize from Flores, Guatemala City, San Pedro Sula, and Cancun.
Are children welcome at Blancaneaux Lodge?
Yes, children are welcome at Blancaneaux Lodge. In fact, our two-bedroom, two-bathroom villas at Blancaneaux Lodge were designed with families in mind. Our restaurants offer children’s menus and we have a wide range of fun and educational tours and activities for children.
Are connecting rooms available for families?
Although we do not have rooms with interconnecting doors we do have two-bedroom, two-bathroom villas and family cabañas at Blancaneaux Lodge.
Do you accept small groups or extended families gatherings?
Yes, we do accept extended family gatherings, however, we do not accept bookings for larger groups. Policies may vary depending on the time of the year. Please inquire for more information.
Is there internet access at Blancaneaux Lodge?
Yes, Blancaneaux Lodge offers complimentary wireless Internet access. Wi-Fi hot spots are located close to the reception and bar areas with some access available in the adjacent accommodations. For those traveling without a laptop, we have a desktop computer available in our reception area. Certain charges and restrictions may apply.
Do you accept credit cards or traveler’s checks?
Yes, we accept VISA, MasterCard, and AMEX credit cards. U.S. Traveler’s checks and U.S. dollars are also accepted. Dollar bills should be clean, undamaged, and unmarked.
Is any equipment offered for walking tours and treks?
We offer telescopic walking poles at Blancaneaux Lodge. We advise guests to bring lightweight walking boots, long trousers, and long-sleeved shirts made with breathable fabrics. A broad-brimmed hat and polarized sunglasses are also advised. Guests should bring their own personal water bottle for trekking.
Is there air conditioning at the hideaways?
The dwellings at Blancaneaux Lodge are not air-conditioned but do have haiku fans and the location/elevation means typically cooler evenings.
There is air-conditioning in 1/3 of the dwellings at Turtle Inn (contact our vacation planning office to make those selections, and there are effective haiku ceiling fans in all accommodations. Additional floor fans can be provided for your room.
All casitas and suites at La Lancha are air-conditioned.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
A continental breakfast of coffee, juice, pastries, bread, and fruit is included in the room rate. Selections from our a la carte breakfast menus are available for an extra charge.
Are there any benefits to booking nights at multiple hideaways?
Discounts may be available seasonally for those that book multiple hideaways within one itinerary. Please contact our vacation planning office.
What kind of vehicles are used for transfers and tours?
We use a mixture of vehicles, although our standard vehicles for transfers are small air-conditioned cars. We also have four-wheel drive vehicles for our more exploratory tours.
Are transfers and tours private or public?
Tours are generally public allowing us to offer tours at a value. Private tours are available by request, and a surcharge may apply. Transfers are normally quoted on a private basis for 1 to 4 persons.
After I land at the Belize International Airport, how do I get to the properties?
