Culinary Week With Chef Julia Turshen

Renowned Chef, New York Times best selling cookbook author and podcaster Julia Turshen will impart her expertise to 14 guests with her passion for teaching cooking and sharing meals together on a very special culinary week at Blancaneaux Lodge and Turtle Inn.

 

December 7-14, 2024

Join us for a week of adventures in Belize at our two distinctive hideaways and enjoy three distinctive and interactive dining experiences showcasing favorite dishes of Chef Julia and highlighting local and seasonal ingredients.  The curated dining experiences of the 7 day trip include:

 

  • An interactive cooking demonstration dinner at Turtle Inn located in our exhibition style kitchen at our Pizzeria, including a wine pairing.
  • An unforgettable half-day on Turtle Inn’s private island – Coral Caye – where you will have time to snorkel, paddleboard, swim, relax and share a convivial barbecue lunch with Chef Julia, including a welcome spritz cocktail and rose and white wine pairings.
  • A true farm-to-table dinner at Blancaneaux Lodge with Chef Julia showcasing the abundant bounty of our on-site 4 acre farm:  a multi-course vegetarian dinner including a welcome cocktail made of garden ingredients (lemongrass mojito anyone?), a tour of the organic garden with our head gardener, a lesson in pressing sugar cane, and paired wines.
  • AND Julia’s mom Rochelle will be instructing a “Drawing Just For The Fun Of It” workshop at one of the two hideaways – creating a keepsake for you to take home beyond your delicious memories of the week.
  • PLUS rumor has it that Julia has a new cookbook coming out very soon and a personalized signed copy will be another take away gift.
